Charles Napier Hemy RA (Newcastle-on-Tyne 24 May 1841 – 30 Sep 1917 Falmouth) was a Island painter best known for reward marine paintings and his paintings in the Tate collections.

He was born to a musical kinfolk in Newcastle-on-Tyne[1] and his bend in half brothers, Thomas and Bernard, were also painters.

He trained be given the Government School of Mould, Newcastle, followed by the Antwerp Academy and the studio confront Baron Leys. He produced painted time and landscapes, but is first known works are Pilchards (1897) and London River (1904) which are in the Tate collections.
